1. If you are an established patient in my practice, and need to speak to me right away (or haven’t gotten an answer to email or voicemail quickly enough!), please call my cellphone number which I have written on the back of the business card I gave you.
– If you have lost the card, or did not receive one, please email or leave a voicemail, so I can give you the correct number. I’d like you to have my cellphone number available at all times, for your convenience.
– My cellphone is always with me (unless a disaster happens!), but if I am with a patient or driving a car, I don’t answer it, and it goes to voicemail. (It also goes to voicemail if I am already on the phone.)
– Feel free to text-message me! When you do, please include your name.
– Please do not share my private cellphone number with others who aren’t yet established patients in the practice.
2. I very much appreciate getting email from you! Please email me at: leigh@drleigh.org.
– I have discontinued the “Comment” form on this website, to streamline the emailing process.
– Under some circumstances, I may not answer directly!
Example: you need a refill, and gave me the pharmacy contact information; I may simply call in the refill, and ask the drugstore to notify you when it is ready.
Another example: you remind me that you needed a referral; I may send in the referral letter, and ask the consultant’s office to call you and make the appointment.
The reason for this is that I get a lot of calls and emails daily. (The pitfall, obviously, is that you’ll be frustrated if neither I nor the third party ever contacts you!)
– If you require a direct reply, I’d appreciate it if you simply email me again, or leave a voicemail (below), or call my cellphone if you have a more urgent concern.
3. If you have non-urgent questions or requests, or if you don’t have my cellphone number, please call my voicemail number at (toll-free) 866-581-5559.
– Be aware that the message you leave will be transcribed into text, and sent to my email, which takes time.
– If there has been a high volume of calls and emails (from patients, pharmacies, and consultants), answering your query can take a while. It’s not personal!
4. If you would like to visit for the first time, as a new patient from the Eugene metro area, or to have a free 30-minute “meet and greet,” please make an online appointment by following the instructions under the “Visit Me” tab. If you find the appointment program confusing, please review the instructions provided under the “Visit Me” tab.
Note: My office isn’t a “walk-in” clinic; I only see people by appointment. (If there aren’t any appointments, I’m not there!)
If you are an established patient, and need an urgent appointment or a house call, you’ll need to call my cellphone so we can arrange it.
If you want to visit for the first time, please make a one-hour new-patient appointment.
